GRAVITALE KOOKKAL GRAPE SCRUB REVIEW

     Hello there,
I know that I haven't been posting for quite a long time and I know that this is not done! So here I am, well to give you all a reason I had my exams and then I wasn't in a space to blog because of a couple of reasons that are not important here. Anyway, I am back with a new beauty related blog post.

Today, I'm going to review a product that has changed my skincare routine to a very great extent. The Gravitale Kookkal Grape Scrub is a jelly-like scrub mask which is made from Kokkal Tropical grapes from their high altitude vineyards in the Nilgiris mountains of South India.

The scrub as I mentioned has a jelly like consistency and it does have real grape solids in it, it has a really strong herbal smell which I'm not really fond of. The scrub contains polyphenols, AHAs, and antioxidants and is free of parabens and sulphates.

I use this scrub after washing my face, I just spread a thin layer of it over my face and let it stay there for 10 minutes and then wash it off, It gives my face a bright glow and removes all the dead skin without wear and tear of actual scrubbing.

The glow stays for only a day although my skin feels really soft after using this and stays so for long, I use this product 1-2 times a week. The product has really impressed me and made the quality of my skin better in just a couple of uses.

Concluding I would say that this is a great product and I really enjoy using it, it's priced at INR 2000 for 200gm but I got it from HERE purplle.com ) at a 75% discount i.e. INR 499.

FOREST ESSENTIALS FACIAL UBTAN MULTANI MITTI REVIEW

Hello Again,

Lately, the weather in Pune has been extremely hot and my skin hasn't been loving it at all, as it's going through a rough phase. I had heard about the Forest Essentials Ubtans and thought of giving one a try. As I started getting sudden breakouts I thought of trying the multani mitti (Fuller's earth) Ubtan.

The packaging is very classy as the product comes from the Luxurious Ayurveda brand, the powder comes in a transparent cylindrical container with a gold lid, it's beautiful to look at and totally safe to use as it's organic, Although I would suggest people with sensitive skin to do a patch test before using it.

The product contains Neem, Turmeric, and Fenugreek along with Multani Mitti (fuller's earth) for blemished and acne-prone skin, the powder has the typical fuller's earth fragrance which I absolutely love.

I use the powder as a face pack although, it can be used daily as a face wash too. My experience with the product is pretty amazing I would say. It helps in reducing the size of breakouts in 2-3 uses and gives my skin a glow which lasts for a day. The pack makes my skin soft and is very good for oily to combination skin type because of the ingredients it has.

INGREDIENTS: Multani mitti, Neam leaf powder, Turmeric powder, Fenugreek seed powder, Lodhra bark powder, Dhataki flower powder, Banyan bark powder.

DIRECTIONS: Take half a teaspoon and mix with Aloe vera juice, Yoghurt or Rose water (I used the La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water)  to make a creamy paste. Use as a face wash or a face pack (or spot treatment). I just apply a thin layer on my entire face and rinse it when dry.

PRICE: INR 625 for 60g

TOP 5 DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS.

Hello there!

Today I have my top 5 drugstore foundations to talk about, I have started using foundations a lot about a couple months ago and these are the ones that work for me best, well different ones are for different times, moods and weather conditions. Also, I have oily to combination skin which breaks out easily and these foundations did not break me out. So let's get started.

LOREAL INFALLIBLE 24HR FOUNDATION (140 GOLDEN BEIGE)

This one has to be hands down the best drugstore foundation I have ever used. It says it is a 24-hour foundation but I haven't worn a foundation for 24 hours obviously although it does stays on throughout the day and does not budge at all, the coverage is medium but buildable, it does oxidizes after a while I guess half an hour so you might want to buy a shade lighter. The texture of the foundation is pretty good and it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin, It gives a really natural finish. The packaging is really sleek and handy and it comes with a pump!
MRP: 1325/- for 30ml
Buy it HERE

MAYBELLINE FIT ME MATTE+PORELESS FOUNDATION (310 SUN BEIGE)

This one is a shade darker for my skin tone as I bought is when I had a little tan on but I can still work with it, the texture is light and very comfortable on the skin, It stays on for 2-3 hours without setting powder and around 5-6 hours with setting powder. The coverage is light to medium and buildable and It gives a natural airbrushed effect which I prefer a lot. The only downside is that it doesn't come with a pump but you can always buy a pump separately and use it, I just use it as it came.
MRP: 525/- for 30ml
Buy it HERE

MAYBELLINE DREAM SATIN-SKIN AIR-WHIPPED FOUNDATION (B5 NUDE)

I use this foundation mostly for colder months as I feel It gives that creamy finish which looks better during winters, it is extremely soft and gives a really nice glow to the skin the texture is slightly creamy as mentioned but does not feel too heavy although if it's too hot outside you might don't wanna go for this, The coverage is light to medium and not very buildable because it does starts to look cakey if layered much, also it gives a whitish cast when applied but that settles down in a while, the finish it gives is as the name suggests air-whipped and beautiful and that is the reason it's on my top five list. It also has an SPF of 24  PA++.
MRP: 700/- for 30ml
Buy it HERE

RIMMEL LONDON STAY MATTE FOUNDATION (400 BRONZE)

I use to use this foundation about more than a year ago and completely forgot about it till I saw it lying on the back of my foundation drawer. Again the shade is very dark for me as I bought it when I had a lot of spots on my face and I wanted to cover them and didn't mind looking darker, well it turned out that dark that now I use it to cream contour sometimes. Anywho the texture of the foundation is liquidy and very light, I love the texture and I might just buy my shade soon for that only, it is matte to the core and I love matte foundations, it has chamomile and cucumber in it which is very cooling for problematic skin. It comes in a compact tube and is very travel-friendly, the coverage is sheer to medium and can be layered up to an extent, the staying power is not too good but for the price you pay for it this foundation is a real steal.
MRP: 390/- for 30ml
NOTE: I tried to find the foundation online but at Amazon it retails for 5100/- and I bought mine from a Rimmel counter, although Rimmel has another foundation which in my knowledge is exactly similar to this and the link for both are left below.

LAKME 9 TO 5 FLAWLESS FOUNDATION (MARBLE)

To be very honest the first time I used this foundation I did not like it at all, it has little solid bits in it that were damn annoying and it did not even blend well, I thought it's a regret purchase but later I tried it with a damp beauty blender and it worked. The foundation is extremely matte, so if you have super oily skin this one is for you, I use this foundation in extream summer conditions and I feel that is what it is made for. The shade range impressed me a lot, most of the shades are yellow based and perfect for Indian skin tones, the texture might feel gross at first but if you blend it well it looks very good. well, I don't know how many people care about it but the cap is rose gold in colour and it was one of the reasons that I bought it. Also. it comes with a pump. the coverage is light to medium but not buildable, it gives a glow that I like and stays on for 5-6 hours. If you have normal to slightly oily skin you might not need to powder it at all. I would suggest people with dry skin to avoid this one as it is not meant for them I believe.
MRP:575/- for 30ml

All the foundations mentioned above can be found at discounted prices in the links given so do check those out. If you want me to try any of your favorite foundations do leave them in the comments below. If you have any product that you want me to review or any other type of blog post options please leave your suggestions below it would mean a lot to me.

SKINCARE ROUTINE (OILY- COMBINATION SKIN TYPE) + REVIEW (PRODUCTS THAT WORKED FOR MY ACNE)

I feel every time I start writing a post the first thing I write is 'it has been so long since' and I'm a little fed up of this opening so, this time, I'm just going to start as you all by now know how organised I am! Jokes apart today's blog is on a topic that I have been wanting to do for a long time now. It's my skincare routine.

To begin with I have oily to combination skin type, It is acne prone but lately, the products I have been using have been very helpful. Although I would like to mention that the products I have landed on are the ones I started using after a lot of hit and trial, also these products worked for my skin but they may or may not work for others. Still as these were such a huge help to me I would love to share the experience.

CLEANSER
I use the LA ROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR Purifying foaming gel for oily sensitive skin, twice a day. I wash my face with this once in the morning and at night. I really like this face wash as it helps my acne stay at bay and is also very gentle on the skin. It does not dry my skin out like other cleansers. Also, It's paraben-free.
PRICE: INR 425 for 50ml
FIND IT HERE

TONER
I don't specifically use a toner because I feel it dries out my face, It's a weird thing I know but I feel so, tell me in the comment section below if you do too. Anywho, so instead of using a toner I use the LA ROCHE-POSAY THERMAL SPRING WATER, I love this stuff it's so calming and fresh on the face I think it's more of an indulgence product rather than a skincare product for me. I just spray a few pumps of it on my entire face after cleansing and let it dry for a few seconds.
PRICE: INR 490 for 50ml

TREATMENT
I use the LA ROCHE-POSAY EFFACLAR DUO[+] after the mist and this product has been a life changer for me this is a magic product I would say, the root cause of my acne becoming better is this, I feel the combination of the cleanser and the treatment has given me results that are quick and effective, it has been a little over one month that I have started using this and it has eradicated the big bumps, I still get a little zit here and there but that too dies overnight through this. If you face acne problems I would strongly recommend this as it is worth a shot. I use it twice daily.
PRICE: INR 1350 for 40ml

NOTE: YOU CAN FIND THE ENTIRE LA ROCHE-POSAY ACNE CARE KIT HERE.

DAY CREAM/ MOISTURISER
I use the L'oreal Paris WHITE PERFECT LASER Day cream in the morning, I don't really sell the whitening part of the cream as I do not like to promote whitening products. The reason I bought this is because it works for dark spots and pigmentation and I think I have already mentioned about my acne spots here. This is a lightweight cream I can't really tell about the spot reduction yet as I have been using this only for a couple of weeks but it surely has made the texture of my skin better, It does not clog my pores and works as a good day cream.
PRICE: INR 1100 for 50ml
FIND IT HERE

NIGHT CREAM
To be very honest I don't use a night cream on a daily basis, I feel I haven't found the right one yet but sometimes when my skin feels a little stretchy at night I use the L'oreal Paris WHITE PERFECT LASER OVERNIGHT CREAM it works quite well as a night cream, though it is a little heavy it does not clog my pores. I won't say it is the best out there but whenever I feel my skin is a little worked up I use this, which is rare let me tell you.
PRICE: INR 1049 for 50ml
FIND IT HERE

SUNBLOCK
For sun protection, I use the NEUTROGENA ULTRA SHEER DRY-TOUCH SUNBLOCK SPF 50+
it is a light weight and effective sunblock and is appropriate for daily use and won't clog your pores.
PRICE: INR 499 for 88ml.
FIND IT HERE

LIPCARE
As lip balms, I have two options, the ORIFLAME TENDER CARE ROSE PROTECTING BALM and the MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS CANDY WOW in Raspberry, the first one is a clear balm whereas the latter has a pink tint. Both are very useful and effective, I generally use the baby lips in the daytime and tender care at night.
PRICE: Baby lips- INR 275
             Tender care- INR 225
FIND IT: Baby lips- HERE
                Tender care- HERE

You can also find all the products at www.amazon.in

So this was my daily skincare routine, I strongly feel less is more so I don't use a lot of products just a basic CTM routine and it works well for me, If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments section below, also if you have used any of these products let me know your experience.
